The most recent CAI take on the CETME rifle is the C308. These are composed of original Spanish demilled parts kits and PTR built Receivers. They are also outfitted with welded-on picatinny top rail and a more modern polymer grip module/fcg. You can get them with polymer or classic wood furniture.
Recently i came across a wood furniture C308 that has really caught my interest. General thoughts? Ive heard a lot of really good things, and some bad things (especially from older models). Would this be a good buy along with a good optic and maybe a new hand guard from HKparts? I heard the wooden furniture helps with the heating problem a bit.

C308 receivers are made by PTR. PTR did a lot of work on the C308 so I find it funny when people talk about how shitty the C308 is compared to the PTR. CAI never ground a bolt head either.
