Nestled on the beach, this Sullivan's Island vacation home is within 3 mi (5 km) of Front Beach, Isle of Palms County Park, and Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park. Fort Moultrie is 2.9 mi (4.7 km) away. Station 12 is right beside Fort Moultrie. Parking is free and is a very short walk to a beach that STRICTLY forbids swimming ($1040 fine even for wading). The beach had no shells when we were there. It was at the southern-most point in Sullivans and basically faces the harbor and not the ocean waters so waves are tiny.
